Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity Winner Eye On The Card to Stand at Granada Farms in 2024

 

WHEELOCK, TX–AUGUST 14, 2023–Multiple stakes winner Eye On the Card SI 104, who defeated the champion 2-Year-Old, Champion 2-Year-Old Colt and Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding in the 2022 Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity, will stand the 2024 breeding season at Granada Farms, the farm announced today. His fee will be $3,500.

A son of multiple stakes sire Docs Best Card, Eye On the Card retires with six wins from 11 career starts, having amassed earning of $642,795.  The bay colt is owned by Omar Hernandez and Taos River Ranch, LLC.

Bred in Oklahoma by Efrain Mendez, Eye On the Card was trained by John Stinebaugh.

He won the$1,000,000 Rainbow Futurity(G1) last year defeating AQHA Racing Champion 2-Year-Old Colt Cyber Attack, winner of the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity(G1) and Ruidoso QH Derby(G1) and AQHA Racing Champion 2-Year-Old Hes Judgeandjury, winner of the All American Futurity(G1).

At 2, Eye On the Card also won the FL Lady Bug Stakes(RG3) and was third in the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity(RG1). This year he won or placed in four of five starts and was second in the Mr Master Bug Stakes (G3) and third in the Heritage Place Derby(G2).

His sire is the Grade 1 Corona Cartel son Docs Best Card SI 91 ($784,318). From four crops to race Docs Best Card has sired 7 stakes winners, 70 winners and earning over $3 million.
